Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure provision of the type of care and supervision needed by residents, including communication with such residents 
Must be on duty and present a minimum of forty (40) hours per week and be present and on duty a minimum of 20 hours per week per facility to ensure the effective operation of the facility. Time worked must be documented in the facility file. 
Exercise the ability to establish the facility’s policy, program, and budget. 
Recruit, employ, train, and evaluate staff, terminating employment of staff if necessary 
Ensure all facility staff meet and continue to meet statutory qualifications and company policy qualifications including all continuing education requirements. 
Conduct on-site orientation process that includes the following, 
The facility’s program design 
Consumer IPPs 
Consumers’ rights regulations

Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding individuals supported and employees. 
Ensure “consumer admission” procedures are followed including behavioral and medical assessments, information compilation, services and supports assessment, prior provider consultation, family or responsible party consultation, and all other applicable consultations. 
Facilitate IBST meetings 
Assist in IBSP fidelity 
Maintain professionalism including appearance at all times while working. 
Ensure creation and maintenance of facility staffing schedules with the appropriate staffing within the appropriate time frame. 
Ensure accurate and timely entry of all time worked in Paycom. 
Ensure creation of Community Crisis Home activity schedule. 
Utilize Universal precautions at all times while on duty. 
Ensure appropriate assistance of prescribed oral medications, nebulizers, blood pressure devices, glucose monitoring, or any other medical equipment under written direction of physician. 
Assist individuals with transfers in and out of bed, automobile, wheelchair, toilet, shower/bath, up and down stairs, and in the community. 
Report any work-related injury or illness to Supervisor and Human Resources Director immediately. 
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including special incident reports, daily case notes, payroll timesheets, and medical/financial logs. 
Maintain a positive work environment. 
Maintain RBT certification including PDUs, supervision trackers, and renewal. 
Follow agency’s internal grievance policy. 
Attend staff meetings and trainings, and other meetings requested by the individual, supervisor, stakeholders, or agency. 
Practice good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in the absence of a policy. 
Communicate pertinent information to individuals (e.g. schedules, job functions, needed improvements, holidays, expectations, upcoming events, affirmations, and time/money related information). 
Assist in development of behavior plans by providing accurate information, as needed. 
Participate in individuals’ assessments, as requested. 
Administer CPR and/or First Aid, as needed. 
Respond to communication (e.g. email, text, written, verbal, in person) in a timely manner. 
Complete a minimum of 6 hours of continuing education units within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis as directed by the CEO and Clinical Director 
Maintain RBT certification including PDUs, supervision trackers, and renewal. 
Complete a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education units within each twelve- month period following the assumption of duties in the following areas, 
Resident services as described in the program design. 
Promotion of residents’ rights, health, safety and social and physical integration 
The planning Team process, including development and implementation of IPPs. 
Trauma Informed Care, Person Centered Planning, Positive Behavior Supports and Cultural Competency 
Conduct performance reviews for all staff.  
Fill shifts as needed. 
Occasionally visit during non-business hours

Qualifications

Supervision:

• Assist in purchasing and delivering supplies for residents.

• Communicate any concerns to the department director.

• Oversee generic resources in the community and outing binders (e.g., park passes, adaptive seating funded through

medical) specific to current residents

• Oversee grocery and supply orders and track all associated expenses.

• Manage consultants, including but not limited to tracking hours, contact management, and identification of new

The Noc Trainer reports to the director of the department assigned to and is responsible for handling a wide range of

• Conduct announced and unannounced visits on NOC shifts to ensure fidelity of policy implementation.

• Provide job coaching based on findings of visits.

• Responds to emergency situations that may occur across the department on the NOC shift.

• Designs and provides home specific training and activities of enrichment to NOC staff.

• Send nightly reports to the administrator detailing events of the NOC shift.

• Assist in CCH orientations, including designing, organizing, and ensuring all staff receive required orientations per

• Attend medical appointments as directed by supervisor and communicate information/outcome accurately and timely to individual and supervisor.
• Provide intervention and support during crisis situations using CPI and Ukeru principles, follow behavior plans, and report incidents in a timely manner to the appropriate persons (e.g., 911, police, doctor, supervisor, Administrator).
• Ensure that residents are with a responsible Community Crisis Home employee at all times.
• Report workplace safety issues, needed repairs, threats to individual or employees, potential liabilities, and other concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Report any work-related injury or illness to Supervisor and Human Resources Director immediately.
• Follow duties as assigned by the individual and/or supervisor regarding cleaning/changing of bed linens, doing laundry, yard maintenance, and general house cleaning chores.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including special incident reports, daily case notes, payroll timesheets, and medical/financial logs.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Follow agency’s internal grievance policy.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings, and other meeting requested by the individual, supervisor, stakeholders, or agency.
• Use feedback to improve performance.
• Ask for help when needed.
• Practice good problem solving skills and the ability to make decisions in the absence of a policy.
• Communicate pertinent information to individuals (e.g. schedules, job functions, needed improvements, holidays, expectations, upcoming events, affirmations, and time/money related information).
• Attend all scheduled staff meetings, IPP meetings, and other meetings requested by individual, supervisor, and/or Service Coordinator.
• Assist in development of behavior plans by providing accurate information, as needed.
• Participate in individuals’ assessments, as requested.
• Provide information for ISP reports, as needed, by completing questionnaires and sharing information related to the individual’s skills, needs, and goals.
• Follow Community Crisis Home activity schedule
• Administer CPR and/or First Aid, as needed.
• Request any needed equipment (e.g. adaptive equipment, cleaning supplies, First Aid supplies) to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Respond to communication (e.g. email, text, written, verbal, in person) in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Other Competencies and Skills

  • Satisfactory completion of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) 1 and 2, 35-hour competency- based training course and a pass on the competency test within one year of start date.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by clients, including ability to communicate with such clients (e.g. ASL/Sign Language)
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable law and regulation
  • Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records
  • Ability to direct the work of others, when applicable
  • Ability to read and write in the English language, in order to perform essential duties.

• Good physical health verified by a health screening, including a test for tuberculosis, performed by or under the supervision of a physician not more than one year prior to or seven days after employment or licensure

Background Checks and/or Licensing:
• Obtain a California clearance or a criminal record exemption as required by law or Department regulations or
o Request a transfer of a criminal record clearance as specified in CCR Section 80019(f) or
o Request and be approved for a transfer of a criminal record exemption, as specified in CCR Section 80019.1(r), unless, upon request for the transfer, the Department permits the individual to be employed, reside or be present at the facility.

  • Work one-on-one with child, implementing individual lessons and behavior intervention plans as specified by the behavior consultant.
  • Monitor progress by accurately recording each session and providing notes as indicated by behavior consultant on designated data sheets, or in online data collection system.
  • Know and understand the specific goals and behavior plans of each client you are assigned.
  • Implementation of each individual lesson (specific instruction, the exact target response that the child must display, the specific prompt level anticipated before giving the instruction, and the appropriate amount/type of the consequence for the target response).
  • Communication with behavior consultant for questions on lesson implementation or progression, training needs, problems with child’s progression, behavior excesses, etc.
  • Some clients require in-home services on a regular basis; other clients receiving center based services require monthly in- home visits in addition to their time at the center. Center based paraprofessionals are expected to provide therapy in the child’s home as directed by their supervisor.
  • Complete medical notes for each session and collect parent signature at the end of the day.

Qualifications

Employees who work 1:1 with children diagnosed with autism need to be physically fit for the job by being able to lift 50 lbs.; sit on the floor and small child size chairs; stand; walk; run; climb; bend; stoop; reach; kneel; crawl; push; normalvisual, vocal & hearing acuity; use of a computer; ability to write; vocal communication; maintain overall energy during the entire shift.
